Intertribal Ceremonial Queen Pageant

The Miss Gallup Intertribal Ceremonial Queen Pageant originated in the 1930’s. Open to young Native American women, participation empowers and inspires the contestants to share their cultural knowledge, support each other and they experience a unique journey through all the pageant activities. The Ceremonial Queen proudly represents her family, Tribe(s) and serves as an ambassador for both the annual Ceremonial event and Native American & Indigenous Peoples. As a role model her efforts will empower Native American & Indigenous Peoples, while simultaneously representing them in both a traditional and contemporary sense.

Throughout her year-long reign, the Ceremonial Queen will attend various events, visiting and inviting all to the attend the Gallup Intertribal Ceremonial while sharing Native American & Indigenous Peoples culture and heritage insight.
